We’ve Quit Our Jobs to Go Travelling…

Travelling

On our very first date my boyfriend and I spoke about how we would love to go travelling one day but never did I think 3 years on we’d actually be about to set off on our journey together. I’m currently writing this as an excited but emotional and nervous wreck at the thought that shortly I’ll be sat on a plane heading into the unknown.

Travel is one of my biggest passions. There is nothing I love more than discovering new places and I hate staying in one place for too long. The fact we couldn’t go away this year because we were saving for travelling killed me a little bit inside because little trips throughout the year keep me happy but I knew it would be worth it and the day we were setting off would soon come round.

Travelling has been something I’ve wanted to do for years but I’d never quite found the right opportunity to do it until now or saved up enough money to actually be able to go! Now feels like the perfect time to take a little break from life before coming back and focusing on my career and getting a house and all that grown up stuff. It’s one of those things that if I didn’t do it, I’d 100% regret it and I definitely don’t want to live my life with any regrets.

Quitting your job to go travelling can be a scary thing but trust me, there’s nothing like that feeling of walking out of work on your last day and feeling so free and full of excitement. Don’t get me wrong, as well as that excitement there’s total panic. Mainly, how the hell am I supposed to fit ALL my stuff into just one small backpack?! My stress levels are currently at their highest! I keep convincing myself to take things because ‘I might need it’ when I know fully well I will never ever wear it. My mum keeps going on about my 10 bikinis being a bit excessive but little does she know I actually have 15 whooops.

So where are we heading?! I won’t give too much away as I’ll be sharing it all with you (oh yes I’m finally going to be back blogging regularly again after being the worst blogger ever this year!!) but first stop is Dubai and then onto Asia!

So far 2017 has been an absolute emotional rollercoaster and one of the hardest years of my life so I’m praying the rest of 2017 is amazing! I’ll be blogging throughout the trip and sharing with you all of the interesting places we’ll be visiting along with lots of helpful travelling posts for those of you who are thinking of doing it too. Come and follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and add my Snapchat ‘hannahfayrose’ to keep up to date with all of my travels…
