The Most Instagrammable Cafe: Kynd Seminyak, Bali

Kynd Bali Seminyak Cafe

Whether you love it or you hate it, we are the generation that takes photographs of our food before we eat it. Some of us even choose looks over taste, going as far as ordering something from the menu purely because the carefully thought out descriptions make it sound as if it will be a photogenic dish. We’re willing to let our coffees go cold and well, everyone else’s on the table too, get funny looks from customers as we stand in all sorts of positions in order to get that perfect shot for the ‘gram’ and curse the fact that the pattern of the table doesn’t fit in with our Insta feeds. Oh and don’t even get me started on the lighting. Bright white lights where you at?!

If I’m honest, I can be one of those people to an extent. I mean, I’d always choose taste over looks when it comes to food because well, I adore food and I am not sacrificing a good tasty meal for a photo that Instagram’s algorithm is going to hide from half my followers anyway but  I won’t deny, I can sometimes be annoying to be with at a meal. Especially when the cafe is just so damn pretty like 90% of the cafes in Bali. I’m telling you, that place is Instagram heaven. Luckily my boyfriend is used to it by now and drinking cold coffee has become the norm as has luke warm food…I’m joking…kinda. Unfortunately the burgers or sandwiches he tends to order often never make it to my feed. We really need to train our boyfriends to order something more picture-worthy now don’t we?

Anyway, if you’re lucky enough to have ever visit Indonesia’s most popular island, you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say that every dish you order in one of their many western style cafes is perfectly presented to you like a work of art. If there was ever a cafe to win the most Instagrammable cafe of the year award though, it has to be Kynd. You’ll have no doubt seen this pretty picturesque cafe on your Instagram feeds which sits in the heart of Bali’s bustling Seminyak resort.

From the vintage style crockery to the oh so cutely designed menu, everything in Kynd is worthy of a snap. And that’s before we even get started on the food and drink. I’m talking colourful flavoured lattes, smoothie bowls with your name engraved in the granola with perfectly carved pineapple chunks, cookies and cream freakshakes and house made waffles. Delicious yet also picture worthy…what more could you want? And then there’s the pretty pink flowers in vases positioned so perfectly on the marble (of course, what else would the table be made of?) tables making the perfect backdrop for the foodie shots. Yep, Kynd is an Instragram lovers dream but what makes it so great is that it’s also a food lovers dream too.

After taking my usual 49856 photos of the food and eating every single crumb, I unwillingly left Kynd cafe. It’s such a beautiful little spot and one every blogger will no doubt fall in love with.

Have you been to Kynd Cafe in Seminyak before? What’s your favourite ‘instagrammable’ cafe?
