The Finishing Touch…Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
There is nothing worse than coming home from work or a night out at 3am and looking in the mirror to find that what you once thought was a flawless masterpiece is now a patchy mess revealing spots and your naturally pale face underneath that darker foundation intended to give everyone the impression you’re a naturally bronzed goddess. You find yourself drunkenly querying why your foundation that claimed to last 12 hours only lasted 6 and contemplating tweeting about your distress until you pass out and wake up forgetting any of that ever happened. I’ll admit when I was younger I used to spray SO much hairspray on my face to lock in my makeup and pray that it wouldn’t budge all night. Looking back, I kinda wish it did budge as I clearly couldn’t apply makeup properly back then (cringe)…Okay, I’ll also admit that on the odd occasion my older self who should know better has also used hairspray on my face. Whooops. Don’t kill me but desperate times call for desperate measures and there have been those fair few occasions where I’ve sat and thought ‘Yep I’ll probably wake up with spots in the morning and totally regret this but hey, least my makeup will stay all night long wooo.’ You’ll be glad to know however that I have finally bought a replacement for the dreaded hairspray.
The Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray was one of those products I had considered buying for agessss. I mean, it’s not exactly the cheapest of products and would it REALLLY work?! Well, I decided to purchase the smaller travel sized version as a tester before I splurged and bought the big one which is definitely worth doing if you’re a bit unsure about it as the smaller one is just £10 in comparison to £23.50 and you still get 30ml of product.
It comes in this cute little bottle which once started out white and has now turned into this very unattractive off-white shade that I can’t seem to get back to its original colour thanks to me throwing the bottle in my makeup bag with all my foundations. I’ll admit to being a bit sceptical about the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and wondering whether it would actually make a difference to the longevity of my makeup but it actually works! Of course, all skin types are different so it might not be for everyone but if you’re sick of your makeup not lasting all night then I’d seriously recommend trying this out. I do always wear a primer too but the combination of a primer and the setting spray really works! All you have to do is spritz this onto your face after you’ve applied all your makeup and you’re good to go. You don’t have to worry about your makeup all night long!
