Sleek

If you read my latest high street beauty haul (catch up here) then you’ll have seen that I picked up the new Sleek Cream Contour Kit. I was so happy when I heard Sleek were bringing this out as I’d always wanted to try cream contouring but I could never quite justify the £39 price tag of the Anastasia Beverly Hills version when I had serious doubts it was going to work for me. There was just something about cream contouring that seemed much scarier than using a powder and so

My room has undergone a much needed revamp which involved me saying goodbye to not so attractive purple walls and hello to the cutest grey patterned paper and lots and lots of white! In the process of the revamp I had a bit of a makeup clear out well, when I say ‘clear out’ I actually couldn’t bring myself to throw anything away really, even parting with that lipgloss I never even use was just too heartbreaking to do…anyone get like this?! Anyway, in the process I realised I’ve become

My makeup bag is such a mix of high-street/drugstore and high-end products and although I use both in my daily makeup routine, you can’t beat the feeling when you find a high-street product that works just as well or better than it’s pricey alternative. Over the years, there have been quite a few high-street products that I’ve repurchased again and again from a range of different makeup brands that I absolutely love and would recommend to anyone and the best part is, they’re all under £10! Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Sleek is one of my favourite high street makeup brands. I absolutely adore their Contour Kit and Solstice Highlighting Palette so when the Gold Standard i-Lust Eyeshadow Palette caught my eye a couple of months ago, I couldn’t wait to give it a go. On a night out, I love to wear a smokey eye and I thought the shades in this palette would be so perfect for that smouldering look.  The Gold Standard i-Lust palette (buy here) contains 6 shades; 4 silky shimmer powders and 2 rich cream shadows,

Best Beauty Buys of 2015

With the year coming to an end I thought I’d do a round up of some of my favourite beauty buys of 2015. I still can’t believe it’s going to be 2016 in a few days, it’s crazy. I vaguely remember stood on the drive outside with everyone in the street celebrating the Millennium and the fact that’s nearly 16 years ago is so scary! This year I’ve tried out so many new makeup bits, some new releases and some old and they’ve since become staples in my makeup bag.

Monthly Favourites

The days are getting darker, it’s no longer acceptable to leave the house without at least three layers on and Christmas decorations are slowly but surely making their way into shops, which of course can only mean one thing…it’s November. The month of fireworks, Christmas markets, Christmas shopping and cosy nights in by the fire. Weirdly enough, Bonfire Night is one of my favourite nights of the year and I’m not even sure why. There’s just something so special about fireworks and I love piling on the layers and standing

As soon as I saw a picture of Sleek’s latest addition; the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette, I just knew I needed it in my life. Eagerly awaiting it’s arrival in store, as soon as I heard it had hit Boots, I headed straight there and managed to bag one of the last ones on the shelf. As a girl who is completely obsessed with highlighters (my highlighter collection has a makeup bag of it’s own…), I fell in love with the gorgeous shimmery shades in the Solstice palette almost instantly

Due to a very hectic summer and one too many trips away, blogging has sadly taken a backseat for the last couple of months but with a little less hectic few months ahead, this is set to change! Seen as I haven’t done a beauty post in what feels like forever, I thought I’d share with you my current makeup routine. Having only arrived back from Italy a week ago, I’m very much still in summer mode despite the glum British weather and so I’m dragging out my natural bronzed

I pretty much spend half my life in Boots and Superdrug these days. Those naughty 3 for 2 or buy 2 for £14 deals are forever catching me out. Even if I walk in needing just one product, about 9 times out of 10 I’ll end up convincing myself that one thing definitely isn’t enough and it’s a far better deal to buy at least 3…Then again, when it comes to makeup, I don’t take much convincing. For a high-street makeup haul with a mixture of new purchases and repurchases,
