This year has been so hectic which unfortunately meant that blogging had to take a bit of a backseat in my life. I haven’t really blogged regularly since back in March/April time and it’s actually been so much harder to get back into it than I thought it would. Every time I’d go to write a new post, I’d suffer from bloggers block and couldn’t even think of what word to write let alone a whole blog post and my mind would just drift to other things which eventually resulted

Summer Glow-Getters

How gorgeous is the weather this week?! It’s got me so excited for summer and it means I can finally switch up my makeup routine to a lighter and more glowy finish. In summer, for me, a dewy base is an absolute MUST. I love that natural bronzed glow and together these products work perfectly to create it. Primer is a must for me especially when the weather is warm as there is more of a chance that the heat could affect the lasting power of your base and I love

Some of my all time favourite makeup products are actually from the high street. I often find that just because something is three times the price of another product, it doesn’t always make it better or THAT much better. The following products are absolutely amazing and I’ve repurchased them again and again. I use them ALL the time and the best part is, they’re all super cheap so it’s great if you’re on a budget!!   Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (here) This is one of my absolute favourite foundations and

So, I’ve filled up my first little Z palette and in the process of doing so, I discovered some must-have shades that I neeeed to share with you! I did a post on my first impression of Makeup Geek eyeshadows here so I won’t go into too much detail about them other than to say that they are amazingly pigmented, blend SO well and are so cheap considering they are such good quality! I bought the eyeshadows from Beauty Bay as I find the delivery to always be super quick and it’s completely free for

There is nothing worse than coming home from work or a night out at 3am and looking in the mirror to find that what you once thought was a flawless masterpiece is now a patchy mess revealing spots and your naturally pale face underneath that darker foundation intended to give everyone the impression you’re a naturally bronzed goddess. You find yourself drunkenly querying why your foundation that claimed to last 12 hours only lasted 6 and contemplating tweeting about your distress until you pass out and wake up forgetting any of

Hey guys! Hope you’re all having a lovely week. Blogging has kind of taken a backseat over the last couple of weeks as life has well and truly got in the way and I’ve had so many other things to deal with. I always beat myself up over not getting blog posts up at least once a week which is completely stupid I know. I’ve realised lately that I often put too much pressure on myself to do things and get things done but when it comes to blogging, I

The first time I saw Makeup Geek was on my Instagram feed. I noticed these beautifully coloured and extremely pigmented looking eyeshadow pans in people’s photos and I just couldn’t restrain myself from heading over to Beauty Bay to check them out. I especially loved the look of the Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pans and decided to purchase just a few to try. The shades that caught my eye were Untamed, Pegasus, Flame Thrower and In the Spotlight. When it comes to eyeshadows, I usually lean towards nudes, browns and reddy tones,

If you read my blog regularly then you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of that luminous dewy look and over the years I’ve found some makeup products that work amazingly well at creating that glow. I love these products SO much and I’m forever reaching for them when I need a bit of shimmer in my life and I cannot recommend them enough. First up, trading your usual primer for an illuminating one can really make a difference to your overall makeup. I find it brightens my face up

Over the last couple of months or so, I’ve added a few more MAC eyeshadows to my collection and they’re all such beautiful shades that I just HAD to share them with you. If I had the money I think I would buy everything on the MAC website. When I’m bored I just find myself scanning the site and adding things to my basket ready for my next splurging sesh…everything on MAC always looks amazing. Their eyeshadows are up their with my favourite MAC products though as I just find the quality, pigmentation

Where do I even begin with this palette? I don’t think I have ever fallen in love with a makeup product as quick as I did with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. When I went to add it to my basket on Cult Beauty, I came face to face with those words every girl dreads seeing…‘sold out’. The worst words ever? Naturally,  I signed up to the waiting list and longed for the notification telling me it was back in stock. My god it took a while but
