REVIEW | NEW Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation & Cushion Blush Subtil

It’s actually been a while since I’ve done a beauty post which is extremely weird considering the majority of the posts on my blog are usually beauty related and well makeup is my favourite thing EVER. Not to worry though because there’s plenty to come and I’ve got an exciting one for you today! I was lucky enough to receive the new Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation in the post along with the Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil too and after playing around with them both for a while now, I thought it was about time I got a review up. p9181278I am a bit of a foundation addict if I’m honest. I have SO many foundations, some nearly finished and others barely used after deciding a few weeks into using them that they just don’t work for me but despite having a lot of foundations, I’ve only ever tried one cushion foundation before this one. That was the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation which you can read my thoughts on here. I did like it but I can’t say I was ‘wowed’ by it so I was really hoping the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation would impress me more. p9181267Although now summer is well and truly on it’s way out and I usually swap my sheer summer coverage for something a bit fuller, I was a bit sceptical when I read that the Lancome Teint Idole Cushion Foundation was high coverage. Was it going to be cakey? Was it going to feel really heavy on my skin? Luckily I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of looking cakey, it made my skin look luminous and healthy and instead of feeling heavy, it actually feels suprisingly light. Yes the coverage is definitely high so it’s not for those who like a very natural ‘I’m not wearing any makeup’ kind of look but for those wanting all their imperfections blurred out into a smooth, radiant and flawless finish, this could really work for you. I couldn’t stop staring at my skin once I’d applied it!p9181285I’m still yet to fully understand the whole cushion concept but I do like how there’s an applicator, mirror and the product all in one compact making it very handy for applying makeup on the go. I gently press the applicator onto the cushion base and pat the product all over my face and it’s really easy to apply, blend and create a completely even coverage. p9181300I also got to try the Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil. I didn’t even know you could get cushion blushes until I received this! I have it in shade 31 Splash Orange which is a gorgeous vibrant coral colour that luckily doesn’t look as intense on your cheeks as it does in the compact! It’s definitely buildable so you can create a subtle flush of colour or you can really go for it. I do find it trickier to apply than say a brush and a powder blush but once I got use to using the cushion blush, I actually really liked this too. As you’ll know if you read my blog regularly, I’m a big fan of a dewy finish and teamed together, the Lancome Teint Idole Cushion Foundation and Cushion Blush Subtil create just that. The blush adds that finishing touch and makes your face look even healthier. p9181299Foundation shade 03 Beige Peche and Blush shade 031 Splash Orange:p9231424You can buy the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation from Debenhams here and the Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil here.
