My Favourite Makeup Products to Get That Dewy Glow
If you read my blog regularly then you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of that luminous dewy look and over the years I’ve found some makeup products that work amazingly well at creating that glow. I love these products SO much and I’m forever reaching for them when I need a bit of shimmer in my life and I cannot recommend them enough.
First up, trading your usual primer for an illuminating one can really make a difference to your overall makeup. I find it brightens my face up and leaves my skin looking so much healthier and more radiant. My favourite illuminating primer is the L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer which you can check out here. It comes out as a white shimmering liquid and I apply this all over my face after moisturising. Next, is the Illamasqua Radiance Veil which is incredible! I’ve started using this for when I want an extra glowy look on an evening and I dot it over my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, the centre of my forehead, along the brow bone and above my cupids bow. This is also an illuminating primer but one that is far thicker and more intense than the L’Oréal Lumi Magique Primer so instead of applying it all over my face, I’ll just do it in the areas where the light would hit as it can be a little overpowering if applied all over the face. You don’t have to use both primers but I do occasionally if I’m after that super intense and extra dewy glow! You can check out the Illamasqua Radiance Veil here.
Then I’ll apply a foundation that gives a dewy finish such as Bourjois Healthy Mix here (one of my favourite foundations EVER!) and blend blend blend until your face is looking super luminous and healthy. Then I’ll lightly set my face with a powder. Now for the actual highlighting. Topshop Glow Pots (here and here) are little pots of creamy heaven! Depending on what kind of look I’m going for, I’ll dot either Polished; a white shade or Gleam; a bronzed shade, along my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, brow bones, above my cupids bow and the centre of my forehead and blend it in, followed by Becca’s Champagne Pop Highlighter (buy here) on top of these areas. This is my favourite highlighter and you can read all about it here. Both of the Glow Pots are amazing! I’d recommend Polished for paler skin ones and Gleam for warmer skin tones.
An optional extra is a spritz of Mac Fix+ for an even dewier finish!
