It’s crazy to think that it’s October in a couple of days. Like seriously how fast did summer go?! Although I’m still super depressed and longing for another holiday in the sun, I do love this time of year. The pretty coloured leaves, cosy nights in, oh and of course Autumn/Winter fashion…surely I’m not the only one loving this suede and fringe trend? Amazing. Mixing it up with a bit of skincare, toiletries and makeup, here’s a selection of beauty bits and bobs I’ve been loving lately…
For my birthday recently, my friend bought me what have to be the prettiest soaps ever from the Yorkshire Soap Company. So pretty, that I’ve taken about a gazillion photos of them. I mean, have you ever seen soaps so cute?! These are the Bath Truffles which smell delicious and come in equally cute packaging making them the perfect gift for someone. Check them out here.
L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer
An old favourite of mine and a product I’m so glad I rediscovered this month is the L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer. Not only does it help my makeup to stay on for longer but it adds the most gorgeous glow to my skin whilst also making it feel ever so soft…always a bonus! I’ve been applying this under my foundation for a more luminous finish but I have previously mixed it with a heavier coverage foundation such as Estee Lauder Double Wear to make it slightly less thick and matte and more dewy.
Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum
After falling in love with the smell of Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum, I was so happy when I received it for my birthday. If you like girly fragrances then check this out as it’s got such a sweet and fruity scent to it – it literally smells unreal! The classy glass bottle also helps of course…
Mac Face and Body Foundation
I dread to think the amount of times I have probably raved about this foundation and you can check out my latest rave in a recent blog post here. I’ve been wearing MAC Face and Body every day for the past few months and so it felt wrong not to include it in my monthly favourites. I think it’s just the perfect Spring/Summer foundation with it’s light to medium coverage and the healthy dewy finish it provides. I often opt for lighter coverage foundations in summer because the sun improves my skin so much but I’ve already noticed a change for the worse recently so I doubt it will be long before I switch to a heavier coverage foundation!
Trilogy 100% Natural Rosehip Oil
After reading that Kate Middleton uses the Trilogy Rosehip Oil on her skin, I knew I needed to try it out for myself as her skin always looks so clear and radiant. Although I don’t yet have wrinkles (*prays they never come*) this makes my skin ultra smooth and soft and helps improve any dry patches of skin. Although it’s a little bit pricey for the size of the bottle, you only need a couple of drops making it well worth the money.
