Little Life Update & the Zoeva Complete Brush Set
Hey guys! Hope you’re all having a lovely week. Blogging has kind of taken a backseat over the last couple of weeks as life has well and truly got in the way and I’ve had so many other things to deal with. I always beat myself up over not getting blog posts up at least once a week which is completely stupid I know. I’ve realised lately that I often put too much pressure on myself to do things and get things done but when it comes to blogging, I don’t want to blog because I HAVE to blog, but because I want to. I started writing a blog post a few days ago and I felt so half-hearted about it that I just couldn’t click the publish button. I can only ever post things I’m happy with or it just doesn’t feel right. So today, I’m talking about something I am most certainly happy with and that is the Zoeva Complete Brush Set.
For those of you who don’t know, I started a makeup course back in September last year and well, until I started it I didn’t really realise how important makeup brushes were and I always chose to buy actual makeup over brushes. I didn’t really think brushes were the most exciting things to buy and I always just bought the odd Real Techniques brush as they were the only ones I’d read about and heard of and well my budget could never reach to MAC. That however has all changed and I’ve since realised just how much difference good quality brushes make to the application of your makeup. I was recommended Zoeva brushes so they went straight to the top of my Christmas list despite the fact my parents could not get their head around why anyone would spend £95 on some brushes for your face…
I’ve used these Zoeva brushes non stop since I got them and they are definitely the best brushes I’ve tried so far. The Zoeva Complete Brush Set contains 15 different brushes for your face and eyes…basically ALL the essential brushes you need in your life to create a flawless base and even the most detailed of eye looks! And they come in this extremely handy black clutch bag so you can store them all together and take them everywhere!
The 15 brushes you get are:
Silk Finish Brush – recommended for applying powder and mineral makeup
Buffer Brush – the BEST brush ever for buffing foundation into your skin for the most flawless finish
Powder Brush – softest brush for setting your face with powder
Face Shape Brush – the perfect shape for contouring
Cream Cheek Brush – angled brush for applying blush to the apples of those cheeks
Concealer and Buffer Brush – perfect for blending and buffing concealer under the eye area
Soft Definer Brush – flat eye shadow brush ideal for blending shades across the lid
Crease Brush – designed to fit into the contours of your lids, blends eyeshadows in beautifully
Petit Eye Blender Brush – recommended for blending eyeshadow in the crease but also great for dotting highlighter under the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes
Petit Crease Brush – smaller than the crease brush making it good for detailed eye looks
Smoky Shader Brush – perfect for a smouldering eye
Contour Shader Brush – defines the contours of the eyes beautifully
Fine Liner Brush – amazing for carefully applying liner to the lids
Wing Liner Brush – makes creating that wing easy but is equally amazing for brows too
Brow Line Brush – ideal for creating defined and arched brows
The bristles are so soft and the hairs don’t seem to shed. They blend makeup in so effortlessly and are such good value for money considering some makeup brushes are £20 plus to buy on their own. The only tiny downside is that some of the brushes have white bristles and it can take a good few rinses with makeup remover after using dark shades to get them perfectly white again.
