First Impression of Makeup Geek Eyeshadows & The Start of my Z Palette
The first time I saw Makeup Geek was on my Instagram feed. I noticed these beautifully coloured and extremely pigmented looking eyeshadow pans in people’s photos and I just couldn’t restrain myself from heading over to Beauty Bay to check them out. I especially loved the look of the Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pans and decided to purchase just a few to try.
The shades that caught my eye were Untamed, Pegasus, Flame Thrower and In the Spotlight. When it comes to eyeshadows, I usually lean towards nudes, browns and reddy tones, so instead, I decided to choose a variety of different shades for my collection. I also purchased the smallest Z palette to store them all in. I thought if I bought the big one, I’d be more inclined to fill it straight away and as I’m currently trying to be careful with money, I was sensible and went for the smaller one which would fit a total of 9 shadows in it. All the Makeup Geek Eyeshadow pans are magnetic and they just attach to the base of the Z palettes. The Z palettes also have different designs too which you can check out here. I personally loved the bright pink one as it stands out against all the other palettes I own!
These Makeup Geek eyeshadows are probably the most pigmented eyeshadows I’ve come across. The colour pay off is incredible! They’re so buttery, creamy and blend beautifully across the lid and the lasting power is amazing too. Just looking at them and talking about them makes me want to head over to Beauty Bay now and place another order! I have zero willpower when it comes to not buying makeup…
The normal Makeup Geek eyeshadows are priced at £6 each on Beauty Bay here. Such a bargain! The foiled ones however are slightly more expensive at £9.25 here. I personally think that for the quality of the shadows, pigmentation and lasting power, this price is more than worth it.
I wish I had discovered these sooner!
Now for some swatches….
These swatches were literally just done in one swipe as they are THAT pigmented. Just look at how beautiful they are! My favourite shade out of the 4 is probably In the Spotlight – it’s just the prettiest shade! Another thing I love about the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows is the colour choice. They have so many different shades meaning you can create millions of different looks with these shadows but I have noticed that quite a few are out of stock online! Okay, as soon as I have finished this blog post I am 100% heading over to Beauty Bay to fill my little Z palette!!
Have you tried Makeup Geek eyeshadows before? What do you think? Iff there are any shades you’d recommend then please let me know!!
