Barcelona Part 2: The City, Hotel & Spanish Food
After searching long and hard for somewhere nice to visit this summer, my boyfriend and I finally settled on Barcelona. Although I went there years ago with family, I couldn’t really remember anything about it and so it has been on my travel bucket list for a long time now. With its beach and plenty of sights, we thought it was the perfect destination for a much needed break. A whole load of delicious food, beautiful views and one too many sangrias later, I’m so glad we booked it and although I’m depressed writing this, I can’t wait to share it all with you!
We stayed in a hotel called H10 Montcada which was incredible and I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for somewhere amazing to stay in Barcelona. Located in Barri Gotic or the Gothic Quarter to us English folk which is a bit like the old town of the city, the hotel was surrounded by beautiful narrow streets filled with shops, restaurants and bars and it was in the perfect location for the beach, the sights and the metro if walking isn’t your thing.
Now onto the sights…
And we tried lots and lots of food!
Now for the delicious food and drink…
The most amazing bar we visited was The Dry Martini Bar and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t normally like Martinis but these were so good!
And there we have it, my trip to Barcelona summed up in a trillion photos! I fell in love with the city within about an hour of being there and if you’ve never had the chance to visit, I can’t recommend it enough. Another travel post will be coming your way shortly as luckily I’m jetting off again tomorrow and it can’t come quick enough!
